Yes, I know today is Sunday.
But yesterday was such a nice day. It was sunny and bright and even a little cooler. I went out to lunch then shopping at Kirkland's with my daughter Donna.
Then came home to watch the Penn State football game which I had recorded. After a slow first quarter, PSU took over the game. They returned the second-half kick-off for a touchdown - a 100 yard run. Final score 44-14 over Youngstown. Next week they play Alabama which should really be a good game.
I can't wait for the weather to turn cool and stay cool. I love the look and feel and smell of fall. College football games and crunchy leaves on the ground. Soups and stews to eat and pumpkin roll for dessert. A cup of hot tea in the evening while reading, covered up with a Snuggie.
Dom and I are planning a little trip up North next month. If everything works out as I hope, we should be there right at the height of the Fall colors. Can't wait!

Sounds lovely Lynne. Fall leaves. We don't really have that here in my part of Texas. It's hot, it's hot, it's hot - oh, it's cold - the leaves turn brown and fall off. Not very inspiring.
Love fall football though. We are big fans of the Texas Longhorns, but my husband's sister and brother-in-law are Penn State fans. Makes for fun family occasions. :-)
The feel of the world just changes in fall, doesn't it? Everything looks cozy, and smells cozy. I love it, too!
Lynne, it isn't too bad today either!! I love the cooler weather.
I'm so ready for fall! We had a tease of a bit cooler weather, and now it's getting hotter again. Ready for the heat to go away for good :) All of your fall things sound wonderful - football, food, reading under a Snuggie, etc. I can't wait!
Bet the Penn State / Alabama game will be a good one :)
It's really cooled down over here, it was only 62F today but I love it:-) I was so tired of the long hot and humid Summer we had, I was more than ready for the cooler temps. Like you, I love Fall and everything that comes with it.
We'll be going to NF on the weekend of Oct. 15, 16 & 17 and I'm really hoping the Fall colours have started by then too:-) xoxo
How far north???
It's still very H.O.T. here, but at least our morning and evenings are feeling a bit cooler.
There's so much about Fall that I love too...starting the fireplace, roasting marshmallows, making cider, making pumpkin loaves and pumpkin muffins, etc. I love jeans and sweaters and boots too.
Hugs,
Kat
