HOLIDAYS OVER - BACK TO ROUTINE

It's January.

The Christmas tree is down and put away, all the decorations are back in the boxes.  I did leave my Christmas dishes in the hutch for a little while longer - just because I love how they look.

My bowling league started yesterday, after a 2-week break for the holidays.  It felt strange.  I think I forgot how to bowl - and my scores showed it.  Not too terrible, but not what I know I can do.  My Monday league will restart this coming Monday morning.  I hope I can do better then.

Shelby is back to full weeks at school.  Now she's going Tuesday through Saturday because she'll be working on clients instead of being in the classroom all day.  She was so excited yesterday - she did a massage and got her first big tip!

And Dom will be back to his regular work schedule at Home Depot, minus Sundays.  He's cutting back on his hours, working toward some day finally retiring.

Maggie and Lucky?  Their routines never change - sleep, eat, go outside - over and over again, day in and day out.  Holidays mean nothing to them!

It's always sad to have to put away the Christmas stuff but then it's also nice to have the house back to normal. I've been so busy the last couple of months that now it seems funny to have time on my hands!! I'm not complaining, though, I'm enjoying it:-)

I remember how hard it was to get back to bowling after a holiday break, my games were never as high as I knew they could be. It won't take long, though, you'll get back into the swing of it. xoxo

I always label January and February as the routine months. I guess because all the hustle and bustle of the holidays are over and the thoughts of Easter haven't entered our minds yet. Sometimes I like routine, especially after the holidays! Happy New Year to you!!
