DRAWERS AT LAST
A few months ago, my blog-friend Karen at Over the Backyard Fence posted a picture of her kitchen island. Her husband had removed the double doors of the cabinet section and replaced them with 4 new deep drawers. Ever since I saw that picture, I've been wanting to do the same thing with mine.
And now, it's going to happen! This coming Saturday, my island that looks like this:
will look like this (Karen's island):
Except I'm going to use beadboard wallpaper on the sides and back and paint the whole thing black to match my appliances. But I'll have drawers!

Very exciting! I don't want drawers in my island but I do want them over by my stove for pots and pans. I was afraid it would be too expensive.
I like the idea of all drawers on the island!
